Effective April 28, 2026 · Version 1.0
This Refund Policy explains when Mentorly issues refunds and when it does not. It applies to fees Mentorly charges directly. Payments between students and mentors are a separate contract, see Section 5.
This policy covers fees Mentorly charges to mentors. It does not change a student's right to seek a refund directly from the mentor with whom they contracted. Where this policy and the Mentor Agreement conflict, the Mentor Agreement controls for monthly listing fees.
Listing fees are billed in advance through Stripe at the start of each monthly billing cycle. Cancellation can be initiated from the mentor dashboard at any time and takes effect at the end of the current paid period, there is no early-cancellation fee. Mentors retain access (profile remains live, lead capture remains active) until the period ends.
Listing fees for the current paid period are non-refundable, including but not limited to cases where the mentor:
We will refund a listing fee, in our reasonable discretion, where:
Where Mentorly takes a commission on a student conversion, that commission is reversed automatically if:
Reversed commissions are deducted from the mentor's next payout or, if the mentor's account is in deficit, invoiced to the mentor.
Payments a student makes to a mentor, for cohort access, courses, signals, one-on-one coaching, etc., are governed by the contract between the student and the mentor. Refunds for those payments are between those two parties. Mentorly is not the merchant of record and does not adjudicate disputes about quality, delivery, or the mentor's refund window.
If a student believes a mentor is engaged in fraud or has materially breached a published refund policy, the student may file a Watchlist report; Mentorly will treat the report under the Watchlist process and SLA. Filing a report is not a substitute for chargeback rights with the student's payment provider.
Where the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or any equivalent local law applies and grants you a cooling-off period (typically 14 days), you may exercise that right and Mentorly will refund the relevant listing fee in full, provided you have not already received the fully-performed digital service. Mentor performance of the underlying mentorship is between you and the student under their separate contract.
If you intend to dispute a charge, please contact billing@mentorly.io first. We resolve most billing issues within 5 business days. Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve directly may result in the suspension of your Mentorly account until the dispute is resolved.
Email billing@mentorly.io from the address on your account. Include the Stripe charge id, the period in question, and the basis for the request. We respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and may take 5–10 additional business days to settle.
